Win7 for i7 920 and 6gb ram?

Hello

I've got an q7 920 with 6gb of ram...at the moment my OS is WinXP and I know that it does not see all 6gb of ram...do you reccomend me to change OS to Win7 so it sees all 6gb?
PS: I use Pc working with computer grafica and video editing...

That would be a reasonable upgrade. Just be sure to pickup the 64 bit version of Win 7.
 
possibly consider dual booting...windows 7 does not have 16 bit compatibility...so old games wont work necessarily on seven...
 
If duel booting, make sure that the xp is loaded first. Then the windows 7. Go for the Premium or Professional x64 since it has the xp gaming mode. In less you do a lot of heavy networking and security, then the Ultimate x64 of windows 7.
