win7. iE help

I have a Laptop with a 21 inch LCD screen and use the iE that came with it.

When I go to say Filehippo.com or Target.com the left and right side of the webpage is out of screen.

And I have to move the page left to right if I want to see the sides.

Now I did try to ajust the Zoom size in the Right Bottom side.

The made the text smaller but that is it.

So I thought it may have to do with my RES. settings.

What would be a good size to try or souls I not go playing with the screen RES??
 
? not totally sure what your looking for... but whenever i have a screen, i always try to max out the resolution. Things look a lot better. Think both mine max out at 1960 x 1080

800x600 is a low resolution. 1680x1050 is a high resolution. The higher the number, the higher the resolution. I'm guessing you have yours set to a low resolution.
 
well you need to make sure you're doing it in a way that asks if you want to keep the settings, cuz sometimes a res will be un-displayable on the monitor, so as long as you don't randomly click everywhere, it will go back after like 15 secs, i learned this the hard way as i was using the right-click on CCC then doing it, and this had no time-out, so i randomly hit 1920x1080 for some reason, and ended up having to move my comp to another room, then half pulling the tv out of the cabinet, and it's pretty darn heavy, 42" thick lcd, then it was almost falling over, so to not go through this, make sure it has the time-out stuff.

your right... you can only max out the resolution of your monitor/ TV... not max settings. If you can only go to 720p. then 1960 will be useless
 
although sometimes a 720p will show 1080p, like mine, and to me it looks a little better when watching tv, it won't actually be helping, i think my tv geta a little higher than 720p res somehow, like one of the other types with a weird name and uncommon numbers or something.
