Win7 Lockdown??

ok i didnt get any replies in a cupple of days so now i will ask in this thread

When i go to download a file from a directory to lets say: C:/Program Files/Freelancer Mod Manager/mods/

it asks for Admin Permission, and i clear it, and it doesn't transfer the files

little info:
1)Bought from OfficeMax
2)its a Laptop
3)I am the Admin on the admin account
4)I'm using Win7

Also some files in the system wont open and give a "access is denied" error

anyway to fix this, i also have a computer from BestBuy that does the same thing...

What folders are you trying to access? Some folders aren't really folders but more/less shortcuts. When programs attempt to access the "old" locations, it redirects it to the correct location.

but even if it was redirecting to the right location it shouldnt be giving access denied errors if he is the admin. Try changing the UAC settings.
control panel --user accounts--change UAC settings then move the slider down. I have seen this happen a few times and sometimes this fixes it.
