Who all pre-ordered it and what did they get? I got home premium from amazon right when it was midnight eastern time and I have the shipping so it will be at my house the day it's released in stores ^_^

+1
As long as the actual seller is Amazon.

Well I wasn't sure of the pre-order date but Newegg has it so I believe it.

The upgrade prices are cheap I must say!

EDIT: I just pre-ordered my copy of 7 pro upgrade on Newegg. I thought "What the hell?" :)

I already found a comparison between the versions:

The UK doesn't get these upgrades because of the whole dispute with IE so thank your Union for that buddy.

Cheap? Home premium is running at 58% off and it's still $50 and is going to regularly be $120! My Vista Home Premium OEM was only $100, though I bought it only about a year or so ago. The home premium upgrade should have normally been only $50 for ****'s sake. First the screw us over with a new OS in just a couple years and now the UPGRADE costs as much as an OEM! All Microsoft does is wring you out for all the money you have.

I think I'm going to stick with Server 2008, Fedora, and Windows XP x64 for the time being...
don't really feel the need to jump to 7 quite yet.

I like Windows 7 x64, but I find that in some stuff I do. Windows xp pro x64 is still faster. I really don't have the money for the upgrade at this time. So, I will continue to operate windows 7 until june of 2010, when it will crap out. I have it in a duel boot on my computer.
