Win7 Security Tool

I recently was playing Fallen Earth, and suddenly a pop up saying "Win7 Security Tool" and begins "scanning". I used to think avast! was tough on cracking down and destroying viruses, but I guess not. I ran a full scan in safe mode, deleted several viruses and it still comes up alot. Several other fake virus programs are popping up, but I have tried this:

Spyware doctor (you have to BUY!?)
Avast!
AVG
Deleting the Registries paired with this stuff

I need some help, my subscription is wasting away while I combat this virus.

win 7 security tool is a malware threat, not a virus thats why avast never picked up on it. although you said it deleted a couple of files.

johnb35 will give you advice on how to get rid of this

  • A log will be saved automatically which you can access by clicking on the Logs tab within Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Download the HijackThis installer from here.
Run the installer and choose Install, indicating that you accept the licence agreement. The installer will place a shortcut on your desktop and launch HijackThis.

Click Do a system scan and save a logfile

Most of what HijackThis lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.

Post the logfile that HijackThis produces along with the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware log
