Well, on my old computer i wanted to do some experiments so i installed xp, then ubuntu, and now i have laid my hands on an old copy of windows 95. The instructions are very skechty and online isn't helping my questions. So, I came here for help.
My computer is a dell xps from maybe 2005. Anyway, when I boot onto the floopy for 95 it has a menu of drivers i could use:
1:Nec CdRom drivers
2:Toshiba CdRom drivers
3:Hitachi CdRom drivers
4:No Cdrom support
So I always click 1 as it's the only one which really worked. Anyway now the instructions say to type this in: A:\>F:\setupwin95
Of course the A:\> is already there since thats the floopy drive. It doesn't work though and it just says "not a recognized file" or something similar, i don't remember. Anyway, any help is appreciated. Oh, the F:\ of course is the drive that the install disc is in.
