Windows 10 black screen help

Hi guys, so today, when I tried to turn on my computer I believed i saw "Scanning and Repairing drive C. So I waited for it to finish however, it went to a black screen with the cursor circling (look at the picture for a better image). After a while, the Tv message pops up saying " no signal etc" and I can't go back to VGA. Finally I am able to go back to VGA but then its just a black screen without the cursor circling like before. My tech friend thinks my GPU DRIVER got corrupted when updating like if I turned off my computer during an update but I don't recall doing any like that. Any help and tips are appreciated!

Does the computer beep when you start it up a few times? That would indicate a failed video card. If it's not even POSTing (the first thing to come up on the screen) then your video cad is shot.
