    Hi All,

For the past couple of days my computer is having some issues. Mainly there is no display in the monitor. The system would be working perfectly then all of a sudden the screen would go black, I could still hear the CPU running. I checked the net and there were many suggestion mainly based on a new error regarding Windows 10 update which was causing all the trouble. I tried few suggestions but to no avail. Some of them included updating the display driver. I do not use any graphics card externally. The message said all drivers are updated.
Next someone suggested stopping the service App Readiness, this worked for a few hours then the same problem. I really don't know what to do now. Till today morning I was able to see the desktop on restart, by the way restart means turning off the power and then back on, the other option of using the restart or shutdown button on the CPU wouldn't work.
Few updates were not installed then completed installing. My computer config is given below. Kindly advise.

    Motherboard :ASUS M5A/78L
    Display ATI Radeon 3000 graphics
    Processor :AMD fx 8320,

My bet is the onboard video is overheating and dying on you. Try using a dedicated video card.

I bet it was the update. I have read countless stories on Windows update hosing computers. How to fix it? Beyond me, I don't run Win 10.
