windows 10 download

I've downloaded the latest win10 and when it went to install, it didn't work for whatever reason.
so when i tried again, it went to DOWNLOAD EVERYTHING AGAIN!!

i'm on limited internet and using win7 ultimate.

can the install just not start from the previously downloaded win10? i found the hidden folder.
what happens if i DL win10 from another source, will it work out.
i would only want to do that as we have limited internet and can't let a whole months quota go towards win10 being downloaded 5 times.

Where did you download the latest Windows 10 from? Usually if you have the DVD media, it asks you if you want to install updates prior, but you can still install it without downloading anything AFAIK.

it was downloaded for me by that little icon in the bottom right.
then win7 reminded me it was time to install.

i don't have a cd/dvd in my PC.

Might have been a patch, there was a pretty huge one a day or two ago that required something similar to 8->8.1 where it basically reinstalled Windows.

so i tried it again today.
got to 'creating a restore point' and then 'preparing installation' which the progress reached about 15% by this time and then BANG!

code 80070490

google says there is a corrupt file and i need to repair windows and then run setup again.

is there another way around this?
