Windows 10 on a PC im building

What is the difference between a USB pen drive and a DVD for Windows 10. I'm looking into which one to buy for the PC im building. Thanks in advance.

Yeah I generally tend to use USB drives to install Windows these days because it's faster (especially if going USB 3.0 to SSD) and you can reuse the USB drive when you're done with it and recreate it again when you need to. If you're building a new PC it also means you don't have to buy an optical drive you may only use once to install Windows too. Saves £10-15. :D

I built a machine last night and the case didn't even have any slots for optical drives. They'll go the way of the floppy before too long.

Yeah my NZXT H440 doesn't either. I've got my Blu-Ray RW drive in a 5.25" USB 3.0/eSATA enclosure. You know optical drive technology is dying when this enclosure was the only one I could find that worked with a SATA drive and costs £40 yet feels like it cost about £15.
