Wife gets updates constant for her computer windows 10 pro.
I get them less. question is can it be stopped or at least to pick out the updates as
needed, like critical or security. her's is constant. seems like every other day it happens.

It could be that I believe you can delay updates for pro but not for home and she will get notifications for it. Otherwise, check your update settings and compare.

You can disable the Windows Update service in services.msc. I only update when a "major" update is out like the Creators Update.

type services.msc in the search box.

It will be listed up top. However, I don't recommend disabling it. Another possibility is that the update is failing to install and trying to install every day. Check update history to see if its getting installed or failing.

Try this.

If that doesn't work try this. The Update Now button at the top. It will let you keep all your stuff.

Download and install Shutup 10 and be done with that crap.

Or just learn how to use your OS rather than installing unnecessary crap. Windows key + R. Type in "services.msc". Probably couldn't be any easier and certainly doesn't need more software.

It shouldn't need to update that regularly anyway. If it's bugging him every other day for updates then they're failing and not getting installed and it just keeps retrying. I only ever notice my machine doing updates once every few weeks.
