Windows 10 Scan Range Issue

I have just updated a machine from Windows 7 to 10.

Under 7 it worked perfectly, the upgrade application said that everything would work fine.

Ran the update, and now I have a problem.

Turn on the machine, BIOS presents correctly, Loading Screen (blue Windows logo + moving circle of white dots) is presented, screen goes dark, monitor complains that the input is out of the scan range.

Any ideas?

Usually means screen resolution is bigger then the monitor can handle possible refresh rate is wrong or better yet, incompatible video driver on windows 10. Gonna have to somehow get to safe mode and uninstall current driver and install lastest windows 10 driver if it has one.
