I am trying to have my pc play a sound when I logon. I have edited the registry to make "windows logon" appear in the sound control panel. I then set the control panel to play a sound but when I logon no sound plays. is there something i'm missing?

Doesn't work for me either when I change it. Do you have the box checked that says play windows startup sound?

Yes, I have the box checked and it does play a startup sound however I am trying to play a sound when I log in.

By default, the Fast Startup option in Win 10 is a hybrid hibernate power state (S4) which technically (when enabled) does not actually exit Windows, so there is no actual Windows "startup" to play the Startup Sound. Also, start-up sound is default disabled in Win 10.
