windows 2000

i got bored and decided to play with this os on my computer. It supports up to 4gb(its 32bit so only 3) and i figured 1gb would be good. Im using about 230mb right now while multitasking. Im gonna install some games and see how they run. Ive got dx9 and the 8600gt drivers. Im gonna try and see how long i can use this os before i crack. The old 40gb hard drives alittle slow though.

well ive got an old 2000 server disk round somewhere that i used to use on a home server of mine till i got bored of it and dismantled it

do MS even support it anymore ?

I think they label it as absolete but it still has a lot of programs that support it oddly..

I have windows 2000 on an older machine (intel pentium II 400 mhz 128MB RAM Ati Rage 3D 4 MB videocard, and 6 GB HDD) and it works even faster than the computer I'm using now (pentium 4 3.06 GHZ, 1.5 GB Ram etc) (with xp; it is used more often, has a different theme, more processes opened while on the older computer there is almost no program running while idle, not even anti-virus)

i've used windows 2000 for a little while, not as a main OS, i used it as a MSN computer
