Windows 64bit cd boot prob

Theres a problem with my windows 64bit cd, it doesn't seem to boot.

is there any way of solving this.

for starters, did you get Windows x64 from a torrent site, or at a store?

it dosnt detect a cd in the drive,

a friend, he said it was a bootable cd

Did you set the option in BIOS to boot from optical drives (CD/DVD-ROM)?

yes the boot device was set to the cd, but when the chance came to boot from the cd, the cd didn't even flash

is there another way to boot the cd

Well if the CD drive isnt detecting it, then its not bootable. So then the pirated version of XP that your friend gave you must not be bootable

ok, its not pirated tho it is a genuine version of the os, but i think the problem might be because the cd is scratched alot and the boot files might be corrupted
