Windows 7 - 1 copy 2 computers?

I think maybe he was saying thank god you don't have a separate computer (meaning a separate license) on each one...?

Are you by chance a college student? Sometimes you can get a copy for free through them. If not, you can at least get it through Digital River for ~$60.

Awesome, check with your school then...it's very likely that you can get a free copy through MSDNAA:

There are a couple of other places to get it as well. It's $65, not $60 like I thought, but MS gives a discount on it (and some free music) here:

Also, definitely check out Dreamspark.com. By my understanding, this is all free there:
(btw, I believe most of that stuff is dev kits, not the actual software)

You'd be right about the dreakspark deal. It is all free, but it's all development tools for programming.
