No i'm not, my Sony Vaio vgn a195 Pentium m doesn't boot either from USB.

Usually the option to boot to usb won't show up until you physically plug in the usb device.

That computer looks like it was built in 2004. It more than likely doesn't support booting from USB let along an SD card.
