Hi,

So I beta tested windows 7, then I downloaded the RC and used that for a few months, then finally my new shiney copy of Windows 7 appeared on my doorstep on the 19th. I got it installed and I was devistated, they have added all these stupid sounds when I go forwards a menu, backwards press a button. Im ripping my hair out and bricking myself. I have my headphones on and the volume is loud and when these things blair out I jump in the air. Please someone tell me there is a way to turn these noises off?

Yep, first you need to get into the Windows Sounds menu.
You can get into this by either right clicking on the volume icon in the system tray and click Sound, or typing 'Sound' into the search bar and it'll come up. On the Sounds tab you should be able to find and customize all of the sounds that way. I'm not sure where exactly the navigation sounds are but I'm pretty sure if you play around you'll find them in there. You could also just try changing the Theme and seeing if you like any of those sounds better.

Hey thanks a lot, I did not fancy changing the sounds one by one. There was a drop down menu in that window with "sound scheme" I set it to no sound and its gone :D. I now no longer need to reinstall the RC lol.
