Windows 7 Blue Screen

My computer has recently crashed to the blue screen. I have recently re-installed windows and didn't have this issue before.

Does anyone know the typically issues that cause this, and what addition details might be needed to diagnose this?

There are many reasons why a blue screen will happen and there is no way for us to tell you exactly without looking at logs. Download and run bluescreen view and post the results.

Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

The one today was due to your video card drivers, try updating them. For the one dated February 27th, please zip up the following file and attach it your next reply.

I will check out updated drivers. Thankfully I am looking for a new graphics card so that should address itself one way or another.

It worked fine. Unfortunately, nothing definite causing that one but most likely a driver. Definitely update the video driver and see if they continue.

I ran amd's auto detect utility. It claims that I have the most current version. But was able to install catalyst suite so that may do the trick.

I got another one today when I let the system sit. Moved the mouse to get out of sleep mode and the blue screen came up. Video issue again?

What usb devices are plugged into your usb ports? This bluescreen was caused by your usb driver.

I have the wireless dongle for the mouse and keyboard in he front panel. I could try moving it to the back

Do you have the Intel or Via usb 3.0 driver? See if intel has an updated driver for it. Was the dongle in usb 3.0 port?

It was in a usb 3.0 port.

If I am reading computer management correctly I have both Intel and Via listings.

OK then, I'm assuming the usb 3.0 header on the motherboard would be the intel driver. You can go here and see if there is a driver update for it.

See if it will automatically detect a newer driver.
