Windows 7 for gaming?

I'm planning on purchasing windows seven when it's out , any one know if any games will work on them like. Bf2 cod4

I know it's not out but I know people have betas

Does it run smotthley with games or does it have errors

I'm using Win7 now. COD4, CoH, UT3, StarCraft (yes...even StarCraft), and many others work fine.

Windows 7 x64 worked great for BF2142, but PB didn't like it and wouldn't
let me play online.

32 bit Windows 7 worked fine though.

i only had problems with Hellgate london, i know many people don't like it and the multi player servers shut down, but it's still a kickass game.

i've also played a lot of STEAM games, mostly CSS, and they run ok.

you should check out the windows 7 forum, there's a section where people report on what games work for them, and which ones don't

I know most if not all Steam games work fine on Windows 7,GTA IV has problems running on 7...but i did manage to get it running somehow.

didnt try any other game on it.

I played Need for Speed: Most Wanted,COD4, Crysis and Timeshift on Windows 7 x64 and they all ran fine. However I didn't try the online version of any of the games while running Windows 7 so I can't commend on the Punkbuster problems people have been having.
