So you want to have a folder with ALL the great tools and OS capabilities in on easy location? Easy.

Create a new folder on the desktop.

Rename it to

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Enjoy.

Let me know what you think.

That's awesome. Not sure what I'd use it for but nice to have everything in one place.

Or you could just avoid downloading and installing crap-ware and simply rename a folder. A lot easier, and lot less risky.

So installing a program is risky, you talk some crap okedokey and as time goes on it just gets worse.

Any software or hardware you don`t use is crap according to you.

Just make clear to people the program does not install any extra toolbars etc, it simple does the process for you by simple clicking enable.

I would suggest a simple copy and paste is much easier than downloading and installing software that requires administrative access (to modify the registry) and no visibility to what else it does.

Secondly if you follow the links, you'll find that the creators website no longer exists and the profile on scourforge has been deleted.

Yes, really good idea. Especially when a simple, copy and paste will do the job. Don't highjack my threads with crap-ware mate.

Ok well OKEDOKEY, I have already showed you were wrong about your power supply info, so lets see what i can do with your claim that the god mode tool is crap ware !

Also I note you claimed it requires admin privileges and messes with the registry ? REALLY ?

This will show how often you make claims about stuff you have not used which makes you a flat out LIAR.

If you had used the software like your are obviously claiming above when you say it needs admin privileges then you will be right.

Well why don`t people watch this video of the software being used, you will note the program is a NON INSTALL portable program, so forget about installing extra crap ware or need admin privileges the program itself does not even install on the machine.

So between the power supplies and this OKEDOKEY, it makes me wonder how many of your other posts make false claims and knowingly give people wrong information.

You are a typical know it all wannabe, how actually knows a bit about a small number of things then lies and bluffs his way through the rest.

It is people like you that are the reason it is the same small number of regular users that are on this site all the time.

You should be able to put the folder anywhere. You might even be able to pin it to your libraries menu since it is just a renamed folder. I'll try that when I get back to 8.1

Edit: Yep. After renaming the folder you can change the name from God Mode to anything else. I have mine set to All Ctrl Panel. It still functions the same. I moved the link into another folder that I have for shortcuts and dragged that link over to the libraries button on my task bar. Pinned the program to the libraries menu.

Edit 2: James, I see what you are getting at but I couldn't find the source code for it. So I can't tell you for sure what it is doing. Unless you have the source code, neither can you.

It might be as simple as this

cd Desktop
md GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

cd Desktop
rd GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

But what if I move it. There might be a scanner in there to find where the file went and remove it. Who knows what else it looks for. It wouldn't even need admin privileges for that. There is probably nothing wrong with it but again, how do you know for sure.

I think downloading and installing software which does it for you is pointless when you can do it yourself in about 10 seconds by creating and renaming a folder.

I have also tried renaming and moving the folder and it still works. :)

I kind of get what you are saying salvage, but i would ask if you check the source code of every software you use ?

I thought unless the software was open source the creator of the software would not make public the source code, if that is the case then how can you know what any software is doing, microsoft office, sony vegas etc.

I don't. But that doesn't mean that I can't

As programs gain popularity, they also get put under the microscope of the end users. Google Chrome was under fire a while ago for a keylogger scare. Google eventually made the change for the end users

With 3 votes on freewarefiles.com I don't see the need to use it, especially since the method that Okedokey posted is incredibly easy.

The problem with what that troll said is that he came on and called a program he has never used crapware, tried to insinuate it was dodgy and claimed it needs admin privileges which it does not which proves he has not used it.

He only took the hump because i highlighted another method, he could have simply came on and said why download any software when his method does the same without software, but no because he is a troll he came on and made false baseless claims about a software he knows nothing about, I hope he never sits on a jury because it will be guilty until proved innocent.

Seems a bit far fetched to me to with no evidence to make baseless accusations of a software being dodgy.

I came on and posted an alternative method using a software i have used for a long time and had no problems with accounts being hacked, bank accounts being emptied or any other ridiculous scare stories.

I would also imagine freewarefiles or any other site have done some degree of checks on the software before allowing it on their site.

To anyone with any common sense, you can see both methods are simple and easy, yes i can say the folder creation method is simple but i would not say anymore simple than the god mode tool.

Eh. If a user can't figure out how to change the name of a folder, they should not be using some of the admin tools in god mode.

Yes agreed, no one mentioned users not being able to rename a folder, it was simply meant to be an alternative method.

Before i found the god mode tool, I used the folder method so unlike some other people i can say honestly I have tried both.

I choose to use a tool I can launch with a couple of clicks and easily enable or disable it with one click.

Also I carry that tool on my flash drive to I can easily use it on any machine any where or should I constantly create folders and carry with me the god mode activation code or maybe I should spend my time memorizing it ?

Cool. Use it if you want. Honestly this is getting tiring. All I wanted to show you is why he thinks that there could be a security hole by using the program.

In your example you can just copy over the god mode folder to your flash drive and boot it from there. I just tested that from another network drive. Works just fine and now you do not need to create it multiple times.
