Windows 7, Hard drive not showing

Hi,

I have a dual boot system and I'm currently logged into Windows 7 but also have Windows Vista on a separate partition.

Unfortunately I cannot view one of my hard drives (the one where all my files are stored). As soon as I log into vista it is accessible again.

I have three drives in total on two hard drives. I can view the two drives that are on the same physical disk just partitioned in two. One has vista on and the other has Windows 7.

Does anyone know why I cant see this drive? And anyway of viewing it again.

Thanks,
Jon

Well for everyone else's reference, my drive was called storage but had no letter assigned to it.

For some reason Windows 7 cannot see an HDD unless it has been assigned a letter.

To change this;
  1. Click start
  2. Right click Computer
  3. Click Manage
  4. Select Storage
  5. Select Disk management
  6. Right click the missing drive
  7. Change Drive Letters and Paths ...
  8. Click add
  9. Select a letter for the drive
Now I could not be any more thorough than that, even if I tried.
