Windows 7 Install Issue

Greetings!

Essentially, what I'm trying to do is a full nad clean install of windows 7 on to my laptop. It's a legit copy.

I've tried installing it from Disc (written at low speeds) and from USB. However, each time the installation stops at "expanding Windows files (76%), the EXACT same place each time.

Any ideas? I'm tearing my hair out with it!

How long have you waited at 76%?
Sometimes it takes some time to extract the data so you should be patient...

If you HAVE BEEN patient enough, have you tried other operating system such as Windows XP and see if that one works?

Have you tryed to even erase the drive with let's say...KILL DISK DOS tool?

If the KILL DISK blocks also then either your BIOS options are configured improperly or your hard disk drive may not be properly connected (the cable management) or it is simply dying...

Does S.M.A.R.T. (if your BIOS has it of course) gives any message(s)?

You can also try to test the hard disk drive with the bootable tools...
