My motherboard recently died, and since the computer came from best buy, I won't be able to transfer my win7 do the new mobo. So I got a new copy of win7 and an ssd for a boot drive, I will take win7 of the mechanical drive, but can I leave the drivers for all the components I'm keeping on there, or do I have to reinstall them? Also, what would I delete to get rid of the old win7.

If you are installing windows 7 to the SSD drive then you will need to reinstall all applications/games/drivers.

Yes. Games and applications install registry and system32 entries to make them run correctly.

I would back up any documents/game saves/personal data you have and then reinstall the OS and all applications and then put the games saves back in the correct directories.

dont worry if you use your computer enough you will have lots of pratice, you should get used to it, as many of us reload all the software on our computers atleast twice a year or more.

So how do I go about reinstalling all my software seeing as I already have it on my hard drive, do I have to format the disk? (which would suck)
