Windows 7 internet keeps going out

Just started yesterday I get intermittent loss of connection. It can't find the router, then it can find the network but won't connect, then finally connects. I have I have tried to update drivers and there are not any new ones, reset the winsock and TCP/IP, and scanned for any malware and that kind of thing. What other options can I go with? I know it is not the router because this is the only computer doing it. This is Windows 7 without a service pack. thanks

Did you try uninstalling and re-installing the driver?

You didn't say so but I suspect you're connecting wirelessly. If so, try a different channel for your wifi adapter. Someone nearby may have just installed a new device that is interfering with the channel you were using.
