Windows 7 (more stupid questions)

So I just got Windows 7 Professional in the mail (buddy sent me a copy he got 3-4 free of charge)

So I plan to format in a few days once my new 1TB HDD gets here so I can off-load all my crap onto it.

I just want to make sure some simple things.


1. Can I disable the "new" taskbar for classic Vista/XP taskbar and icons. (most important)

2. Disable the "preview tab" on browser boxes (how stupid of a idea)

3. Disable "glowing" icons

4. Think its to soon to go Windows 7 yet? Drivers better then first round of Vista was?


Simply put I want it to look exactly like Vista currently does (I only care for the "folder reset" fix which is the only beef I have with Vista)


Aka I am shooting for a mirror version of this (if its possible) with the performance boost fixes/folder reset fix. I disable all gadgets/aero all the "eye candy"

I know a few people that have had the Beta since it was first released and others who got an early release copy through school, and both love it much more so than Vista. (One of them's even a Mac guy, and he hasn't had much to knock on it about...) With that said, that's only a handful of people, and who knows what will happen when tens of millions of people are going to be using. But, so far, everything seems to be going smoother than any previous launch of a Windows OS.

Win7 is like a mix of Xp and Vista

It has the performance of XP but, the "eye candy" of Vista. I am very pleased with Win7
