DMGrier VIP Member Nov 17, 2009 #1 I looked it up, I can upgrade my netbook to 2 GB, could it run windows 7 smoothly?
A aviation_man New Member Nov 17, 2009 #2 I take it that this is a netbook with an Intel Atom N270? Then yes, it will run smoothly.
Laquer Head Well-Known Member Nov 17, 2009 #3 Yuppers.. I got it on my Acer Aspire One with the N270 atom chip and it runs perfectly fine with 1GB ram and 160 hard drive..plus aero runs perfectly fine!!!!! linkin VIP Member Nov 17, 2009 #4 if you do run 7 on a netbook, make sure you can use Aero and you use 32 bit only, unless your netbook has 4gb of ram.

DMGrier VIP Member Nov 17, 2009 #8 Thanks guys, glad to hear that 7 will run. XP isn't bad but I like 7 more and I don't like being two OS's behind.

The_Other_One VIP Member Nov 17, 2009 #9 Still running XP on my Acer, but they do come preloaded with Windows 7, and are typically configured with only 1GB RAM. The ones I saw weren't running Aero either, but I know they are capable.
