Windows 7 on Laptop power problem?

i was chating with friends and he told me that the power on laptop with
windows 7 on was ran out fast or didn't last that long the ? i what to know
is what laptop is the best for of but anything i going git one laptop for work
and one for play

work one will be use for College and work and if i start my
own computer helper

one for play wood be set up to play games,tv show,movies and any Pic programs i can use

Anything which is resource intensive will eat up your battery as well. If your only concern is the laptop's battery power than look for laptops with 12-cell batteries.
 
confused...saying that power management is worse with windows seven? tho it may be slightly heavier, i think power management as a whole from the OS level is at its best with windows seven, XP was pretty poor with power management, unless you got specialized drivers for your device, id say probably out of the windows segment vista and 7 have pretty good offerings for power management as a operating system, tho im sure people will argue that
