Windows 7 Partition suggestions

Hi, I am in process of buying new Dell Laptop with Windows7 pro having 500Gb HDD. Since it will come as a single partition, I plan to make partitions immediately since Win7 has the shrink volume option. I want some suggestions :
1) How much space should I leave for main C: partition which will contain Win7+other programs. I think Win7 takes up lot of space itself. Would 80-90Gb be enough?
2) Considering a 4Gb or 6Gb RAM, should I go for a separate partition for pagefile? Should this be in the middle or end of the HDD. Or should I leave it in C: drive itself, which means I would have to leave more space here.
3) I am planning 2 more partitions say 180-200 Gb each, one for data and other for non-essential stuff and image of the c: partition. I will do data backup on an external disk.

This sound OK, any other suggestions?

Forgot to mention, it will be 64Bit Win7 Pro and processor is C2D 2.53GHz

I personally would just do 250GB and 250GB (less formatted) for equal drives, but it all depends on your uses..

just remember a using the same hard drive is fine for back up and an image. but remember you need a separte harddrive just incase that one fails.. if that happens then that imaage and back up are no good..
