Windows 7 party?

yes, I got an email about that too.
You have to apply for it and if you're selected, then you Microsoft helps take care of the party and you get a free copy of Windows 7 Ultimate.
 
This is where I gave up.

I signed up for it. We were planning on having a 'friends' housewarming party anyway so it would fit in nicely. If I can get a $300 OS for free potentially then what's the big deal right?
 
Yeah because when I party I want to talk about and play with Windows 7.....yeah, that would be a raging party!
 
All you have to do is SAY you talked about it in a blog after the fact. They don't send the gestapo out to check that everyone is salivating over it or anything. A girl at my fiancees work had a ford focus one and they drove a car out to her house, parked it and left and during the party you could look inside it and stuff and she had to get three people to take pictures in the car.

So getting something sweet for free and then telling them how much people loved it later is worth it. Not only that but the terms with the party website say your free to serve drinks and everything so we'll be to drunk to give a hoot anyway :P
 
They want pictures and videos of your party, basically while you're dancing to Media Center I suppose or having fun online with the OS somehow.

It will be a contest between all participants video/picture/blog entries.

Only 64 people will win a computer...
 
Lol I could care less about the pc :) If they want me to, Ill gladly get drunk and go super philosophical about how awesome their OS is. Bottom line is: Booze + free copy of a $300 software + a camera + a bunch of equally drunk friends = good times! :)
 
Contest for THE PC is based on videos and photos. If you get selected for a party you automatically get windows 7 :)
