Windows 7 question

OEM is tied more to the motherboard. If you change the board out you will need to call Microsoft and tell them bigfoot stomped your computer or a lightning strike. Lol, not really that hard. To get it reactivated.

Retail can be reinstalled as many times as you want, but only on one computer at a time.
 
with the OEM windows, what if you get a virus or something and you have to wipe the HD clean. Will I have to call Microsoft or will it reinstall, or does it come with a recovery disk.
 
It will reinstall without the call to the same PC as long as you don't chamge the motherboard to a differemt model. No recovery disk but it's easy to make your own.
