I am trying to install windows 7 on my 2ed hard drive on my desktop computer and when I boot from the install dvd and try to install windows 7, It prompts me to install an driver from a driver disk. It does NOT tell me what driver its looking to install. I cant get past this point of the install. Can anyone tell me why its doing this? Thanks in advance!

Perhaps it is looking for the motherboard driver disk. Do you have a driver disk for your motherboard? Is this a laptop you are trying to do an installation of Windows 7 on?

just a FYI... I installed the BETA 64 bit version ( original 7 ) and it installed with no problem. Its something with RC1 64bit.

What are the specs of the computer your having issues with?

You have a few rigs in your sig, so not sure which one were
talking about.

It may be caused by an error when the disc was made.

Custom Built Desktop, Intel Pentium Dual Core 2ghz OC to 3ghz, 720gb HD, Win VISTA x64bit 500W PSU, 512mb Video Card, 4gb ram DVD-RW

Thats the one I am trying to install it on.

I got nothin.

The only thing I can think of is an error when the disc was created.
