Re-installing 7 on a recently formatted hdd. Everything is fine in BIOS, but when the DVD ROM fires up the Windows and I get my first menu, keyboard dies and so does the mouse. Both are USB. Any ideas?

Probably need to use a PS/2 keyboard. Then enable USB/keyboard and mouse support in the bios.

The mouse and keyboard both work in the BIOS. Everything I could find that looked even remotely near USB-y on the BIOS, I enabled.
Really odd. So they work in the bios, but once you boot to the windows cd they quit working?

Dat's the facts, Jack.
Are they wireless, if so try a wired USB or PS/2. If not I'm stumped. The only other thing is maybe just try a PS/2 keyboard and mouse till you get it installed.
