Windows 7 SP1 32-bit vs 64-bit

I am using editing software which render full hd videos and blu-ray conversion..So I am confuse which windows will suitable for faster encoding...I read some post that some application will be slower in 64-bit..So which windows will offer higher perfomance? TQ..
 
depends on which bit the program is made for. If it is made to use more than 4GB of memory it will be faster in 64 bit with more memory. If it is a 32 bit program it will perform the same in both versions.
