My brother's got some problems with his Shut Down button on the Windows 7 start menu. It keeps disappearing. I can re-enable by right clicking on the taskbar, selecting Properties, then going to the Start Menu tab and making sure Shut Down is selected in the power button action field (even though the button disappears Shut Down is still enabled anyway), but this is a pain obviously. Got any ideas what may be causing it? Failed Windows Updates perhaps is what springs to my mind. It’s a recent problem, I think the first time he noticed it was Saturday or Friday perhaps. Any help appreciated, thanks.
