Windows 7 Starter keyboard problems

Hi.

I have an Acer Aspire One with Windows 7 Starter. I've had it for about a year and a few weeks ago I improperly shut down the computer. When I turned it on again I was given the standard message about not shutting down properly.

When I tried to select the option to reboot windows, the keyboard was dead . . . it has now been 2 weeks and it is still totally dead. The ONLY key that works is the right arrow function key.

Windows 7 came installed so I don't have a copy to re-install. Does anyone know an easy way to remedy this problem????

if only one key works on your keyboard, then it tells me your keyboard is shot, as mighty john mentioned, try another keyboard and see what happens.

Only thing I can think of is that maybe the ribbon cable that connects the keyboard was jarred loose or something like that. You might lifting the keyboard and check to see that it's ribbon cable is securely connected.
