Windows 7 to OS X

There are no apple store near where I live. The only option I have is to buy the os x disk.

If I insall windows 7 on my macbook again, will the TRIM be enabled? or do I still need to download TRIM Enabler?

Thanks

You don't need to work about trim with Windows on your macbook. Just with OSX.

Does anybody know how I would go about installing snow leopard? I searched apple support and only found how to install it in mac os x, not from start up.

Is that what it came with? 10.6 doesn't work on computer that are a few years old or newer, those require at least 10.7. Normally you would just put the DVD in, hold down C to boot from the optical drive, and then follow the instructions. I'm really surprised internet recovery doesn't work for you.

I got the max os x dvd today. When I try to install it by holding the C key. I get a apple screen and 3 beep sound every second or so. Any idea what it is about?

thanks

No idea. Try holding down the command key instead to get the boot menu and select the OSX disc.

I tried that too and same thing happens.

Could it be because my macbook pro comes with lion and I am trying to install older os?

There are no beep sounds when I start up the mac pro by pushing option key to get to internet recovery.

I guess you didn't read my earlier post...

If your computer came with 10.7 and is only a couple years old, you can't downgrade it to 10.6.
