So I've been running the Windows 7 Ultimate 120 trial. I just got around to purchasing to students Home Premium for $30 and I was wondering if there was a way to downgrade without a clean installation.

You mean the Windows 7 Enterprise 90 day trial?
Anyway, I don't think you can install your new OS without formatting and doing a clean install.

Just like Vista you can run the 30 day trial legally 3 times over. But after that it expires.
