I have solved running DOS games on windows 7 by using DOSBox, but I still cant run games like GTA, Black and White, Spore, Worms 4 Mayhem....
Whenever I open them, nothing happens. Its like I haven't even clicked it.
How can I play these games too?

Have you tried running them in Compatibility mode and selecting "Windows Xp",Also try running as Administrator.

Right click on the games icon,Select "Properties" then "Compatibility".

Maybe you have tried this,But if not it may work.

As much as I could understand, when you double click the game's shortcut / file that is supposed to run the game, nothing happens at all?

Do you get ANY message by any chance?Such as UNSUPPORTED PIXEL SHADER VERSION?

You should be aware that if the game is completely new,but you have an old graphic card which does not support the pixel shader version and DirectX version that the game requires, the game will not run at all. Also if the game is 32-bit game, but you have 64-bit OS,some of the games might not run also because not all games support 64-bit OS.

But just as a precaution, try to run some older games such as Half-Life 1 and 2,Doom 3 (my favorite ^^ ) and so on.Those games do not require pixel shader above version 2.0 and do not require DirectX above version 9.0 C and should run under your graphic card unless if your graphic card is extremely old lol.

By the way how strong is your processor, graphic card and how much RAM memory do you have? Also what is the exact edition of the Windows 7 you are using (such as Enterprise,Home Premium,Ultimate and so on)...and is it 32-bit or 64-bit edition?

Cheers!

I have 2 OSs on my computer. XP and Windows 7. All games worked fine in XP, but it died so I must use Windows 7.

For DOS games (like: keen, descenter, reunion, doom...) the message sais :
title:"16-bit MS-DOS Subsystem"
mess: <path to the exe>
"This system does not support fullscreen mode. Choose Close to terminate the application"
But never mind that because I can run them with DOSBox

The problem is I cant run newer games, like GTA-VC for example.
When I run it, it says nothing. Cursor turns to that "blue wheel" and it comes back to normal. And thats it.
Then I tried "Properties>>Compatibility>>Run as Windows XP (tried both Pack 2 and 3)"
and the same thing happens, but this time it asks me would I allow this program to run.

On XP I had DirectX 9.0c , and here DirectX 11 (I have looked into dxdiag).
EDIT: also, dxdiag tells that I have 32-bit OS
