Windows 7 wallpaper position resets

Hi! I'm having trouble getting my wallpaper on my Win 7 laptop the way I want it.

(My computer's language is not English, but I'll try to explain anyway.)

I got the wallpaper, which didn't quite fit my screen, so I chose the "side by side option", which suited me. However, every time I restart my computer, the wallpaper is instead set to "center" which doesn't fit at all. Any idea on how to make it stay the way I want it? Thanks!

Why not stretch it instead?

No matter what other option I choose, it always resets back to "center" which leaves out quite a lot of the outer areas of the picture. I don't understand why this is.
