Blue, I am a Vista fan also. I have installed Win7 on a new computer build and even though I like it, I don't know I would recommend installing it on a computer that's needed for daily use. Even though most people (me included) are impressed with its performance as a beta, it still has some rough edges. Perhaps you could pick up a new hard drive and install it on that, then if you have issues, just re-install your Vista hard drive.
I am currently debating whether or not to go ahead and install Vista on the new computer so I can get some real head-to-head comparisons with my older system. Plus, some of the minor obstacles are a bit of a pain.
