Windows 8 Laptop to Windows 7

So I'm searching for another laptop for my daughter and would really like to stick with windows 7. Do you guys see any issue installing windows 7 over 8. Also with touch screens, would this work with 7 or would I need windows 8. I'm looking at these two laptops, one is touch screen with better res. and processor and the other is non touch screen.

I don't see any problem with installing 7 over 8.

As for the touch screen - Windows 7 should work with the touchscreen but obviously the OS is not designed for touch screens in the same why that Windows 8 is.

Pretty sure Win 7 wont support touch screens. Windows 8.1 is a good compromise and is better than 7.

Windows 8 is perfectly fine. Just install ClassicShell and set it to the Aero theme and it looks/works just like Windows 7.
