After a lot of trouble I suddenly have the following message on my screen and I can't get rid of it, regardless of whether I click OK, or the red X in the top right corner . Also it is stopping me from opening Windows live mail.
The Message is:
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

WLMMailHiddenWindow:wlmail.exe – Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point_crtCreatesSybolicLinkW could not
Be located in the dynamic link library C:/Program Files
(x86)/SupTab/MVSCP110.dll

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Please what does it mean? and how do I get rid of it?
If I have to delete a program, what is the name of the program.

This all started when I couldn't find System Restore, and used something like P.C. Recovery.
HELP.

Uninstall and re install Windows Live Mail.

After that, restart, update Windows completely and then restart once it is completely updated.

Then go to command prompt and type (with space)

sfc /scannow

Let it finish and restart.

Check for Windows Updates again.

Thanks Okedokey, but you are not dealing with the smartest IT person in the world here. I downloaded Windows Live Mail from here but can not find anything like it when I go to uninstall a program.

Windows Live Mail - Download
windows-live-mail-desktop.en.softonic.com/

Can you give me a clue as to what program I should uninstall?

Thanks for your help so far.

Not having much luck here.
I typed wlarp into the Google search and clicked search, but can't see apps anywhere.
Also I typed System Restore into the program search in the start button but don't seem to have a system restore in this windows 8 thing.
Driving me around the bend, all I want is to have my Windows Live mail as per the last 15 years.
I would uninstall and reinstall it if I new what it is called.

Thanks Fellas, I think I am finally on the right track, now 1 more dumb question.
When I Google "Windows Live Mail" I get the usual 100 or so different options to download from.
Can somebody recommend one of those many sites which is straight forward and no added traps and garbage.

Nope I just did a restart to start afresh and still got that rotten message there.

OK, I have tried everything I have been told and no success, so I have uninstalled all the programs recently installed while trying to download Windows Live Mail. I think I have a reasonably clean sheet. Can somebody give me a Web address I can get Windows Live Mail from without all the other rubbish that seems to come with it.
I have tried these with no success::

Download Windows Live Mail 2011 from Official Microsoft ...
www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=29224

Windows Live Mail - Microsoft
windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows-live/essentials-other

Otherwise the next step is, out to the backyard and a can of petrol.:(

OK, after scrubbing all those unwanted programs that came from trying to download Windows Live Mail, and watching a 4 minute show on You Tube, everything is back to normal. Thanks for your contribution Okedokey.
Now I will ask another probably dumb question, not here but.
