Guys imagine how Windows 95 should run in a machine with Core 2 Quad , 4GB of RAM and other stuff.
What you think ???
 
I've gotten it installed as a VM on my machine in my sig. It flew.

Same with 98.
 
It'd only recognize 1 core and a small amount of RAM and would be around the same speed as XP... maybe even slower because it's using less hardware.
 
i was looking at some of the old disk i had. they were all original oem disk.

my favorite.......Windows 98 2nd Edition.

My wife wants to sell them on ebay.
Havent been good for nothing except looking back to the beginning.
Sometime ya need that. let it go.

3.1 was on 3-1/2 disk, a bunch. then didn't have cd's then. maybe and think 8'' disk. about $1500 and 360k capacity. i just tried one of the disk and couldn't read it. or i would give it to ya. i was going through my old notes. dated back to 1977. i was a freak for dating and making notes. 1st computer SOL terminal 8008 cpu, then a 8080 then Z80 Trs80 and then the dream come true. Commodore Amiga in color. no internet, but did have bulletin boards.
