windows 98SE problems...

the computer in the specs is the victim... i know it's a little thing but, when i'm browsing my HDD, like starting off in my computer... if i click on photo files, particularly .jpg and .jpeg, the preview doesn't come up anymore in the left hand side of the folder window... i don't know how to fix it and was wondering if anyone else has any ideas?

Try changing the view:
Click 'View' in the top toolbar, then 'As Web Page' from the menu. All your icons in the window will shift a bit to the right and the preview will be displayed as you click on them.

why not change the view to thumbnails, or is this only in xp

xp only i believe... and i tried the "view as webpage" thingy, but it still didn't work

If everything fails re-install win98.

yeah i thought about that... but it's my parent's computer and they'd freak out if i lost their setting/documents/files/etc...
