Windows Cannot Recognize USB Keyboard

Whenever I plug my USB keyboard into my new computer, a little baloon and the bottom pops up saying that it cannot recognize the USB device. There are no drivers or software for the keyboard. Also, the keyboard worked perfectly fine on my other computer.

The BIOS is set to accept USB mouse and keyboard.

depend if the keyboard is usb2 and your pc is usb1. but that shouldn't be a problem try updating your usb by windows update

Keyboard is brand new, so USB 2.0, I'm sure. My motherboard is brand new as well, and I know that it is definitely USB 2.0. I just checked the windows update, and it wants to update to SP2, so I'll try that.
