I am trying to install a HP Deskjet 3050 on my mothers wireless network. At every attempt I get the error "Windows Installer Cannot Be Accessed". So far I have done the following.
1. Downloaded and attempted to install the latest Win 7 drivers and software.
2. Loaded another application to make sure it was not the disc or drivers.
3. IAC MS Knowledge Base I went into msconfig - services and disabled and re-enabled the installer and rebooted.
4. Talked to HP Support, only thing they had to say was that I needed to update the installer. I had already done that. Current ver. is 5.1.
5. Ran a Registry Mechanic to auto fix registry errors.
6. Tried a 3rd party installer.
So far, nothing has worked. I Googled the problem and although there are plenty of network issues I did not find anyone that said they had this same issue.
