Windows Explorer crashes when I open Game Explorer

The problem started when i wanted to run Crysis in Dx9. I attempted to open the game explorer and windows explorer crashes everytime and I cannot look through the game explorer at all. Any ideas?
 
I also seem to be having a problem with right clicking an item and creating a shortcut. It seems that this all started when i installed SP2 for Vista. The first time i installed i got the blue screen and had to uninstall the pack and reinstall it. Everything has seemed fine until now.
