windows explorer errors!!!

I get windows explorer errors when I use right click > explore and try to access a folder, any folder. But when open My Computer and try to access the folders from there I dont get them. I cant remember the errors cause its not happening on this comp im using now. Its a work pc. Ill get a screenshot up tomorrow.

the os is xp pro.
 
That sounds like a glitch with a system file there. Do you have a Windows installation disk(full install preferred) onhand? If so put that in the optical dirve installed on the effected system and run the "sfc /scannow" command at the Run prompt. That verifies the condition of the default system files as well as repair/replace any found corrupted or missing. If you can post a specific error just the way it is seen that would be a help if the link doesn't have a work around. That's an odd but not totally abstract error being seen there. The site does have a good number of references to try out to see if that helps.
