this is the message that i keep getting and then the screen goes blue and then back to how it was in the first place! i dont get it!

its on my old emachines computer and i have an 80gb hdd and i only have 26gb left. could this be a problem? thanks in advance :D

Sounds like the main interface application has developed a fault, 26GB is plenty left. The CD you got with the tower may have a feature to repair Windows, but it may also require you to format your computer and lose all of your data.:(

The eMachines/Symantec Ghost application isn't that good to be honest.

Damn this has happened on both of my computers. so would this only affect my internal OS hdd? or could it inffect other drives? :(

If that's happend on two of your computers I would suggest good scan with antivir (online)...
You can also post HijackThis log...

i cant be bothered with that could it be easier to just reformat would that get rid of any virus?

well i want to reformat one and hijack the other!

Thanks in advance!

it could be a Virus or Hacker . Thats all i can think of. i have a emachine at home i use and i didnt get this.

620gb takes ages to scan! its slowed my computer right down and its been going to about 1hour now and its only quarter way done!

the joy of computers! :-)

Ill bet you it isnt a virus, i get this sometimes with my family computer. I would just defrag, run a disk check, etc.

nice one! is there any reason for it? im just going to reinstall xp. ive been trying to find out what it can be but i havent so far! :(

Did you tried repair installation?
chkdsk /r/f in the recovery console?
Did you check the link I gave you? It's weird that it's happened on two computers at the same time.

A new twist

Your log looks fine (although I don't have time to check it properly a the moment).
Have a look at this: http://www.helpwithwindows.com/techfiles/explorer-crashes.html
Maybe you find something helpful in there.

well i just DL what it says you need to DL in the article! i havent had a chance to go through all of the action it states but this did happen...

i was trying to transfer 1x23mb file from one hdd to another! i have sata 7200rpm drives with about 400gb free space. so all in all i should be alrite with such a small file :)

so as i was copying over it gave me a warning message of something to do with DEP.

it was something about code and it being triggered and this DEP was preventing it!

anyone have any expericence with this?

thanks :D
